Areas of Interest:

• Plant biogeography and conservation
• Evolution of island floras
• Systematic reserve design, with emphasis on the use of site prioritization and ecological-niche modeling programs to develop effective Conservation Area Networks.

Current Projects:

• Invasive plant monitoring following 2004 fires in Alaska (FWS National Wildlife Refuges)
• Rare plant species inventory for the NPR-A region (BLM)
